How To Hire An Experienced Personal Injury Attorney
Choosing a personal injury attorney can be as simple as a basic search on the internet. Suppose choosing the right personal injury attorney was just a matter of asking the right questions?
That would make your task a whole lot easier.
Susan was in an automobile accident and she needed to hire a personal injury attorney. She did a Google search on ‘personal injury attorney’ and found Joe Jones (name changed) at the top of the search results page. She wrote down only his number, called him up, and hired him on the spot.

Then the troubles began. She found out that although Joe had been an attorney for 12 years, he had only recently started to take up personal injury cases, and he specialized in corporate claims. He had never done automobile accident cases. In the end, she had to settle for a paltry compensation amount owing to Joe’s inexperience.
Sharon was in an automobile accident and she needed to hire a personal injury attorney. Like Susan, she did a Google search. She wrote the names of 10 attorneys. John Brown’s name was seventh on the search page but he seemed to fit the bill. His 12-years experience in personal injury cases is what made him seem suitable. She was glad she had chosen John Brown to represent her.
Not everyone has time to ask for referrals while choosing an attorney. Most people prefer to do a search on the internet but this is not a fool-proof method. Before you make your choice, you need to ask a few questions. Here are some criteria to select a personal injury attorney.
Experience in court
An attorney who has experience going to trial will be better able to represent you than someone who is new to personal injury claims.
Experience in handling similar cases
There are many different kinds of personal injury cases. If the attorney does not have experience in cases similar to yours, he might not be the best person to represent you.
These standards will give you a fair understanding of the experience and success rate of the personal injury attorney you are considering.

Filed under: Car Buying, Europe, Hyundai, Kia, Toyota, Earnings/Financials European car buyers have a favorite Asian automaker, and its name is no longer Toyota. Hyundai and Kia have tag-teamed to best the longtime Japanese automaker, with a four percent overall rise in total units through the first ten months of 2010. During that same period, Toyota-Lexus sales have fallen 17 percent, with Hyundai at 521,369 vehicles sold compared to 511,754 for Toyota. Toyota’s recent tough road, along with the expanding number of quality offerings from Hyundai-Kia, have allowed the Seoul train to slide past the Japanese brand. Unless Toyota picks up the pace, that gap could widen because the Korean company is understood to have a greater number of new models planned for its European portfolio. Of course, Hyundai has a long road ahead if it wishes to make the same claim here in the States, but it’s certainly moving in the right direction. Overall sales in the U.S. have risen 21 percent and demand…

Apply the same concept to squats or cleans (I know… blasphemy for a strength coach to say that more is not always better). Once past the threshold, more of that quality, lets say leg strength (front squat) will not lead to better performance. There is definitely a critical threshold for strength, below which the athlete is at risk of injury. There are thresholds for … Subscribe to RSS Feed Follow me on Twitter! I think it depends upon what you are trying to do. Are you trying to sue for damages? Was your child injured or did he/she suffer pain or distress? If your child was injured, you need a personal injury attorney. If the fact that the day care forced medication on your child just really makes you furious, but at the end didn't cause more harm than that, I don't know that you have a cause of action. This may be why attorneys are being sort of vague in their refusals to represent you. They have to be careful about saying "you don't have a case," because if it turns out later that the person did have a case, and the person misses a statute of limitations based on that advice, that attorney could be on the hook. I would visit another few personal injury attorneys and ask them some more blunt questions about whether you even have a case.
Sorry, I would be furious too, I just don't know what else to tell you.

A good place to start is simply googling "defamation lawyer" + you city. I would suggest you contact a firm who specializes in First Amendment law. I know the people at Bostwick Jassy,
and would suggest you put in concise detail what is posted, a link to the post, and what you want done.
Be careful. Numerous federal and state laws allow people to excercise their First Amendment right. If you do not get a law firm that knows what they are doing, chances are the defendant will get a law firm who does and file a SLAPP motion to dismiss your complaint. A SLAPP allows the lawsuit to get dismissed based on the defendant had a First Amendment right to have posted/said what they were sued for + most states mandate the court to have the plaintiff pay out the defendant's attorney fees. See, CyberSlapp.org
Also, if you sue to determine the identity of an annonymous blogger, chances are you won't get to know who the real identity of that person is. The Supreme Court has repeatedly upheld the First Amendment
right to speak anonymously. (Buckley v. American Constitutional Law Foundation (1999) 119 S. Ct. 636, 645-646; McIntyre v. Ohio Elections Comm. (1995) 514 U.S. 334; Talley v. California (1960) 362 U.S. 60.)
Absent that, best of luck.

As the year draws to a close, it might be worthwhile to review the following advice, provided to American law students (clerks, really) precisely two centuries ago. These words of wisdom come from William Wright’s Advice on the Study of the Law, as published by Baltimore’s Edward J. Coale with “additional notes for the American student” back in 1811. (One can view the complete text here, on Google Books.)
The student should commence with a firm resolution to become one of the most eminent attornies [sic] of the age : and though the difficulties which he will at first meet with may be great, he should not despond; because despondency will produce negligence. Let him persevere, and he will succeed. Genius is more equally distributed among mankind than [...]
