Personal injury cases are considered as one of the more common forms of civil cases prevalent in our legal realm today.
This usually involves claims that concerns individual negligence brought about by the act of another and that a consequent injury or damage to property.

Apart from the obvious fact that it would clear the clogged dockets of our courts of law, it also fosters the foundation of human relations catering to harmonious relationship between and among its citizen.
Alternative modes of settling disputes have long been utilized in personal injury cases. Not only would it save time and effort for the opposing parties but it would also save costly financial resources as well. Another fact note worthy to state when it comes to personal injury settlements is that the determination of the amount of settlement is actually dependent on the amount arrived at by the parties.
This means that the initial demand settlement incorporated in the demand of the injured party may actually be decreased on the basis of agreements arrived at by the parties. Hence, this would actually foster the bargaining of the parties on the basis of the level of negligence, amount of damages, and the financial capacity of the wrongdoer.
The most important part when it comes to settlement arrived at outside of court processes is the fact that any settlement arrived at with full knowledge and discretion of all the parties thereto are actually considered as final and executory.
This means that any agreement arrived at with full consent and within the knowledge of all the parties can no longer be appealed and the parties are actually bound thereby.

Everyone has access to public records – that's why they're called "public records". You'd be surprised at the sophistication of some of the search engines that are available now.
And depending on the situation, such as litigation, an attorney might be entitled to request and receive what would otherwise be private or confidential information that is not accessible to the public at large. This is usually accomplished via a subpoena duces tecum.

I've been in your shoes with the defective vehicle buyback (and I'm a lawyer)! My buyback process was great – I turned over my defective vehicle, and the dealership delivered the new car. (Obviously, there was quite a bit of paperwork to go along with that. Also, in my case, the dealership had actually had my car for 1 month prior to the buyback decision. During that time, various engineers flew out to look at it, and they tried to fix the software problem. Ultimately, it was deemed unsafe, so I never got that car back. I had it for 3 days when it went into the service department. To further complicate my situation, the vehicle I bought was a brand new model of car which had just been released. Supply could not keep up with demand, so all of these cars were special orders only. Therefore, the manufacturer had to build one specifically for me, so that took another month.)
The software glitch started before I even took delivery, so there was no loss of value on my vehicle. I got to do an even exchange. It sounds like you may have had the vehicle for a while (since you're worried about the proposal being too low).
If you need a lawyer, get a lemon law attorney. I talked to a lemon law attorney ahead of time but never needed him. (Even though I am a lawyer, I don't practice in lemon law or in the state where I bought the car). Hopefully, your process will go as well as mine did.

Boston Butt in the crockpot is one of my favorites…I put it in for about 7 to 8 hours on high, with a bottle of liquid Mojo (in the latin section of the grocery store). Make sure the meat is completely covered in the Mojo and thats it. It should be tender and falling apart-I use a slotted spoon to get the meat out. This is great with yellow rice on the side as a meal, or in sandwiches for a large party.
To reheat leftovers, put in a pan on the stove and bring to a slow boil for a few minutes until the meat is hot again.

try hotwire.com. I stayed in a four star hotel for $116.00 per night, which isn't bad.
Motels outside the city are still going to be a MINIMUM of $70/night, plus it will cost you to get into the city, especially if it is not within walking distance the to the T. Then you'll have to pay for a cab to get to the T, etc.
Once you are in Boston, the T is the easiest way to get anywhere.

Lawyers for insurance companies charge around $125 an hour for work they do. You will have to pay 1/3 of any settlement you get to an attorney. How long have you been in negotiations?? Is there come compromise between the $3500 the insurance company is offering and the $5000 you want?? The insurance company may want to go to court as they may feel they will prevail at a hearing and you will get nothing at all. If you case is weak, the insurance company could prevail. Especially if you had some negligence in the injury such as not wearing a seat belt or you were on your cell phone. Keep discussing settlement with the adjuster, being persistent can sometimes get the result you want.
